Thanks for playing! At least in the newest version of GB Studio there are a lot less restrictions on animation frames and because I don't have a lot of actors anyways, I used up a lot of the total frames allowed on my player sprite for the idle animations.
Fun game. I also beat it, but had a few minutes to spare. I really enjoyed it.
